The Assembly Works cover the period from 2012 to present. Taking form as multi-layered installations and through a collaging of photography and sculpture, the Assembly Works present meditations on representation, the nature of photography and archaeologies of the everyday.
Lovelace investigates the conditions and concerns of temporality. Pleasure is present, with anarchic energy, and these images reveal an alternative view of constructed photography while at the same time offering a strange reversal or mash up of the dynamics between artwork, physical presence and audience.
